By Nicole Brewer

So you have an upcoming trip to Copenhagen and are looking for things to do and places to see.  While there are plenty of free things to do and places to see such as the numerous royal attractions that are around the city, what about those that have more of an interest in partying and nightlife? There are many areas for the family travelers looking for a stay in Copenhagen as well as those that want to immerse themselves into the throbbing party scene that this beautiful city has to offer. Check out this guide to nightlife in Copenhagen for suggestions of the best clubs and bars around town.

Good Vibes at Vibes Apotek

Vibes Apotek ,which is located in the Kobehavn area of Copenhagen, is a newly opened bar that serves up a good time in the close-knit underground party scene area of the city. The quaint club has unique antique furniture and a Persian rug that will be attractive to the hippy crowd that frequents Vibes Apotek. A good time will be had here as it sells the ultimate European party drink absinthe. Feel the the good vibes at Vibe Apotek with the dj playing hits on the ones and twos. Stay at the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel in the Kobehavn area to be near Vibes Apotek.

Have a Funky Good Time at Jolene Bar

Jolene Bar is located in the meatpacking district. Visitors are welcomed with a bright neon pink sign so you know you are approaching a hip place. Enjoy live music from time to time, but the house dj keeps the party going mostly playing funky beats. Note that this is your typical bar where beer reigns supreme and is not a cocktail bar. The atmosphere is chill with shabby furniture which gives it a laid back feel. Stay at the Saga Hotel near central station to be conveniently located close to Jolene Bar.

Party like a Rock Star at Bakken Kbh

Bakken is also located in the meatpacking district, on the ground floor. It features funky colored lights and a patio to chill out on or have a smoke after drinking a few brews inside this hip club. Most days of the week it features cool theme nights from brandy Thursdays to the out of this world space fest that they hold. Consider a stay at the centrally located Copenhagen Star Hotel, which is nearby for when you stumble out of Bakken Kbh after a night of partying.

Enjoy the Sophisticated Crowd at Nord Nightclub

This classy club is located in the city center near to the Tivoli Gardens. It is a 30+ nightclub and upholds a strict policy at the door on age. Nord Nightclub serves trendy cocktails and caters its music to the trendy, classy crowd that it appeals to starting off the night with lounge music and upgrading to pop and disco by night end. It offers an upscale table service to avoid long lines at the bar, which is indeed a plus. When the night is over trot to the Radisson Blu  Royal Hotel or a comfortable stay in the area.

Gonna visit these places when I have a chance to visit Copenhagen! We had to cancel Copenhagen trip 2 weeks ago due to my flu, I’m still regretting now.
