The Beauty that is Bonn, Germany

Home of the original gummy bear!

By Nicole Brewer

Greetings globe-trotters! I’m absolutely Ecstatic at the fact that we only have 2 more weeks of classes before winter break here in Bochum, Germany! It blows my mind how fast this term has flown by.  I’ll be heading to Barcelona, Spain for a week during Xmas vacation and then will return to Germany to study hard for my exams that are over the month of January. In the coming weeks if time permits, I hope to check out a couple more Xmas markets here before they end prior to Xmas eve.

Nonetheless, it dawned on me that I never got a chance to share with you pics of the amazing city that is Bonn, Germany…home to one of the greats Beethoven himself. I was able to visit this gorgeous, quaint city twice as I visited for the Humanitarian Aid conference and to catch up with an old friend from Chicago that is now residing in the area as well. Check out the pics below globe-trotters. Enjoy and happy holidays!
